which means...
"In this Universe there is no sacred place equivalent to Venkatadri(i.e.,There is no place in the whole Universe which is more auspicious than the hill Venkatachala). There is no God equivalent to Lord Venkateswara neither in the past nor in the future going to be(i.e.,There is no Archa murti (worshippable form) in all the three times (present, past and future) whose glories are comparable to the Lord of Venkatachala)"
It’s time we start to work at achieving the levels of greatness we are truly capable of, using 86.4k as our sole capital
Almost every one of us wants to be rich. So , let’s assume that your bank account was credited worth Rs 86,400 ( 86.4k for short! ) every midnight with the pre-condition that if you didn’t spend the entire amount the same day, in 24 hours , the unused part/balance would ’evaporate’ at 11.59 pm that night. And at 12.00 am, a fresh remittance of 86.4k happens, only for the unused balance to ‘evaporate’ at 11.59 pm that night. What would you try and do? Wouldn’t you do all that is possible to spend all of the Rs 86.4k effectively?
If your answer is yes, my friend, start to think about this. Every day, our lives are credited with 86.4k seconds! It is all ours and there are no questions asked. The pre-condition, however, is the same. The onus is completely on us to ensure that we utilize it. Every single day the unused seconds perish and a new day of time credit, of 86.4k seconds, begins. And this is one fortune that is given to each of us uniformly, without our asking for it. What do we do with this abundant t resource /wealth available at our disposal? Really, simply, we squander it. The lack of supervision on this is probably the reason. If you look at it closely, this second, is valuable, only for this second! There is absolutely nothing you can do to infuse value into it after it lapses. We live in an environment where there is an incredible rat race all around us, characterized by an endless scramble to amass and control things, people and events. If you step back and think, you’ll know you are running this race because you too are mismanaging the world’s most democratic resource- TIME.
Why “democratic”, you may well ask? Because, everyone, right from Gandhi to Einstein to Obama to Tendulkar, to you and me, have had or continue to have only 86.4k seconds of time in a day. The 86.4k factor is the only constant in our lives. And now that we know we are all on the same level, isn’t it time we started to work at achieving the levels of greatness we are truly capable of , using 86.4k as our sole capital? We need to realize that our countdown in life started the moment we are born. And because we were not aware of this truth then, must not be a reason to postpone our recognition of the reality of that countdown happening even now. Be sure, none of us knows how far we have reached on our personal countdowns.
There is a very clear and pressing need for us to work towards prioritizing our day. Too often, we get caught up in the trap of answering the call of the urgent, thereby failing to address the things that truly are important in our lives. What you are not concentrating on while running the rat race, my friends, is what will truly matter in the end and will lend substance to your life. Even as we sit up in bed each morning, sleepily rubbing our eyelids, we need to carve out the day into tasks that are:
Important
Urgent
About envisioning the future: remember to set aside time for dreaming
About being nice to people: colleagues, friends and even strangers
About demonstrating care to the family and
Mundane/Routine
The need for demonstrating care and being nice to people have to be looked upon as special areas of focus, because a lot of us go through life without setting aside a few minutes to actually communicate to our loved ones that we care. Thomas Carlyle, the famed Scottish essayist married his secretary, and spent a lot of time with her, as their professional and personal lives overlapped, but never once did he tell her how much he loved her. On her passing, he went through her diaries and discovered from them how much she longed to be told so. For the fifteen remaining years of his life, he lived a nervous wreck never once forgiving himself for his folly.
Let this be a wakeup call to you. Life is a gift that comes as a multiple of 86.4k daily. Invest this invaluable resource wisely and reap the rewards that come with it. My dear friend, profit from life. Because that’s what life is all about!
